Here I am with a cut-out of astronaut Scott Kelly. I had no idea that he was instrumental with the launch of 600,000 Tomatosphere seeds to the International Space Station (ISS) onboard the SpaceX's Dragon in April of 2015. These seeds were returned to Earth and sent out to classrooms as a blind study so students could investigate how space might affect tomato plant growth. My students have been involved with Tomatosphere over the last 7 years. Here is a copy of my Lesson Plan.
